Pumpkin-Tempura

Ingredients

An assortment of vegetables, such as onion, basil, pumpkin, mushroom etc. • Japanese tempura batter, see label how to prepare • Oil to fry • Soy sauce for dipping

Method

Cut the vegetables into small pieces • Prepare the tempura batter: For 100g tempura flour, add 160ml ice cold water and stir well • Heat the oil to 180ºC • Dip each vegetable piece in the batter and deep-fry in the oil, one by one • Remove from the oil and serve immediately with soy sauce and or wasabi (Japanese horseradish)
